Getting Around In South Beach

How To Easily Get Around In South Beach Without A Car

South Beach stretches from South Pointe Park north to 23rd Street – about 2.5 miles of beautiful art deco hotels, swaying palm trees, & ocean scenery.

With its wide pedestrian-friendly sidewalks, the popular Miami Beachwalk, miles of bike lanes, CitiBike rentals, and the free Miami Beach Trolley – getting around in South Beach is a breeze!

Walking down Ocean Drive - Miami Beach

Get Your Walk On

South Beach is easily one of the most walkable cities in the USA. With its beautiful beaches, Art Deco backdrops, and buzzing sidewalk cafes, walking is the best way to discover hotspots and enjoy the city.

Strolling Ocean Drive, the Miami Beachwalk, and Lincoln Road’s bustling mile-long promenade are just a few of our favorite ways to enjoy the sights and sounds of South Beach.

CitiBike Rentals on OceanDrive

Rent A CitiBike & Cruise The City

CitiBike is the Official City of Miami Beach Bike Sharing & Rental program. It’s a fun & healthy way to get around South Beach. The program provides access to about 1,000 Citibikes at more than 100 convenient locations throughout Miami Beach. Bikes are available to use 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Checkout the CitiBike website for more info.

Lincoln Road Parking Garage

If You Decide To Drive, the City-Owned Parking Garages Offer The Best Parking Rates

If you decide to drive, I recommend using the numerous public parking garages throughout the city, including (my favorite) the Lincoln Road Garage at 17th Street.

Hotel & valet parking in South Beach is super-expensive and could easily cost $45 per night. In comparison, rates at Lincoln Road’s city-owned garages start at $2/hour and top out at a max cost of just $20 for 24 hours. Checkout our Lincoln Road Parking Page for more info.

A car is unnecessary if you plan to stay exclusively in Miami Beach. Plus, there’s always Uber and Lyft if you want to hit Wynwood, Brickell, or the Design District.

See you on Lincoln Road.
