Nā Lei Boho Clothier on Lincoln Road – 1650 Meridian

The following is a Q&A conducted by the Lincoln Road BID with Sheena Goldhagen, founder of Nā Lei Boho Clothier, which brings liveliness and comfort to Lincoln Road with its best-selling resort wear, including kimonos, home decor line and boho baby products. The brand is known for collaborating with artists to make custom designs from Bali, Tulum, Turkey and Miami. The 270-square-foot store will be a cozy space offering exclusive home decor items, apparel and accessories.

Q&A

What factors influenced your decision to open your business on Lincoln Road?
Besides Miami Beach being my favorite place in this country, I am also a Miami Beach resident! Lincoln Road is not only historically known as a famous shopping area but has always been my stomping grounds. Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would have my own store here. During the winters, I am an active vendor at the Lincoln Road Antique Market, and I attend every farmers market and annual Halloween party. Lincoln Road is so beautiful, making it the perfect place for locals and tourists to shop regularly. Not only is it in the best area of Miami Beach, but it’s also very close to the actual beach. It also has everything from entertainment to dining, shopping and art.

What role, if any, did the BID have in your opening?
The BID played a significant role in the opening of the store. Prior to opening the store, I participated in numerous pop-ups on Lincoln Road with the BID’s local antique market, where I was able to amplify my presence in the district. I was able to showcase my products to the audience that the BID attracts, which includes both locals and visitors. The BID does a great job continuing to attract international travelers, which is why my pop-ups have had tremendous success – I have customers from New York to Italy! After meeting me on Lincoln Road for the first time, they return to purchase my products!

How do you envision your business’s future development and growth, and what are your predictions for the future of Miami Beach as a whole?
I foresee rapid growth in Nā Lei’s newest store on Lincoln Road. I started with women’s clothing and expanded from unisex pieces to a complete men’s collection. Styling men and curating a luxury boho-chic wardrobe for them has been incredibly satisfying. The growth has been organic and not forced, and I aim to continue this trend. I value the needs and desires of my clients, and I always prioritize addressing them promptly to enhance my business more effectively. I am committed to using only raw organic fabrics and exploring new fabric options. Collaboration and support for local female entrepreneurs and brands are essential to me, and this store will reflect that ethos. People can expect exciting events, fashion shows, new product releases and more in the future! I anticipate further improvements while maintaining the essence that has made this store famous. The iconic Art Deco structure of Miami Beach is renowned worldwide, and I cherish it. Miami Beach has evolved with new residents, a growing population of educated professionals, young families, and a vibrant local community, making it feel like home to me.
