Lincoln Road Welcomes Miami New Drama’s Our Town
to the Colony Theatre

Miami Beach, FLA., October 11, 2017 – Lincoln Road, the social and civic spine of Miami Beach, will soon welcome theater audiences to the highly anticipated Miami New Drama (MiND) production of Our Town at the historic Colony Theatre. Re-envisioned by MiND’s Artistic Director Michel Hausmann, the original classic by Thornton Wilder about life, love and death in small town America has been adapted to reflect a multilingual 21st century Miami. The play is the latest in a series of ground-breaking productions Miami New Drama has brought to Lincoln Road’s iconic former Paramount Pictures movie house at 1040 Lincoln Road. Our Town premiers Thursday, October 26 and runs through Sunday, November 19, 2017.

“One of the Lincoln Road Business Improvement District (BID) objectives is to continually provide residents, as well as visitors from around the world, with innovative cultural programming, which Miami New Drama continues to deliver in the iconic Colony Theatre,” shares Steven Gombinski, president of the Lincoln Road BID board of directors. “We look forward to Miami New Drama’s production of Our Town, the upcoming South Beach Jazz Festival in January and many more world-class performances at the Colony Theatre.”

Founded by Michel Hausmann and Tony/Emmy nominee, Moise Kaufman, Miami New Drama (MiND) has transformed the Colony Theatre into a vibrant cultural institution. Committed to theatrical excellence and storytelling designed for the intersections of Miami’s multicultural 21st – century audience, past productions of Miami New Drama include the critically acclaimed The Golem of Havana, the American premiere of Ferdinand von Schirach’s Terror and the southern U.S. premier of Por Piedad Teatro’s A Special Day.

The Miami New Drama’s Our Town runs at the Colony Theatre October 26 – November 19, 2017 with Thursday-Sunday performances at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday matinees at 3:00p.m. Opening night tickets are $100 per person and general admission for all other shows are $45-$65 per person.
