Artist: Ignacio Gana

Born in Santiago, Chile in 1976, after studying Architecture he decided to dedicate himself fully to painting, supported by contracts with galleries in Chicago and Miami. By the age of 28, he was already exhibiting his oil on canvas works in galleries in New York and at various international fairs such as SOFA Art Fair (New York), Shanghai Art Fair (China), Context and Pinta (Miami), ARTEahora (Chicago), and Lineart (Belgium). In 2008 and 2009, he was selected to represent Chile at the Latin American Art Fair in Chicago.

His work, framed within a figurative style, explores themes imbued with sensuality, harmony, elegance, and always a touch of humor and irony—qualities that have earned him a rapid and solid career in the world of fine arts.

In 2009, he decided to explore the world of sculpture, a path that would bring his career to new heights, establishing him as one of the leading exponents of contemporary Latin American sculpture. His sculptures have been exhibited in numerous international exhibitions, becoming indispensable pieces in major collections and museums.

Fascinated by the large scales of North American cities, the artist chose to settle in Miami, United States, with the aim of elevating his work—not only in scale but also in artistic value. Shortly thereafter, he was recognized as one of the most influential artists on Miami’s art scene and was named the Official Artist of the Latin Grammy Awards. In 2020, he received First Prize at the Beverly Hills Art Show in Los Angeles, CA.

His paintings and sculptures can be found in significant private collections and museums such as the Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA) in California; Museo Ralli Marbella in Spain; and Museo Ralli in Santiago, Chile.
