Gillie and Marc Debut Dogman and Rabbitwoman, Two Interactive Sculptures, on Miami Beach, Raising Awareness for the Necessary Conservation of Endangered Species
MIAMI BEACH, FL (December 24th, 2024) – Miami Beach’s iconic cultural hub, Lincoln Road, is about to become even more vibrant and engaging with the debut of two never-before-exhibited bronze sculptures by art duo Gillie and Marc, who the New York Times called “the most successful and prolific creators of public art in New York’s history.” Known for their heartwarming and thought- provoking public art installations, the artists are bringing their beloved characters, Dogman and Rabbitwoman, to Miami Beach for the first time in a collaboration with the Lincoln Road Business Improvement District (BID).
The installation underscores the BID’s commitment to innovating and elevating the cultural fabric of Miami Beach for its residents and millions of annual visitors.
The whimsical interactive sculptures, “The Giraffe and Chimpanzee Were on a Wild Ride to a Safer Place with Rabbitwoman and Dogman” and “The White Rhino Bench of Friendship,” are meant to spread awareness about the importance of conservation and protecting endangered species.
In “The Giraffe and Chimpanzee,” Dogman and Rabbitwoman lead the way on a bicycle built for four; they are joined by a playful chimpanzee on the back of a tall giraffe. Visitors are encouraged to climb aboard the fourth seat and imagine themselves on a mission to create a safer world for wildlife.

This ride isn’t just about fun; it’s about a call to protect our planet’s most vulnerable creatures.”
In “The White Rhino Bench of Friendship,” Dogman and Rabbitwoman sit beside a majestic white rhino on a stunning bronze bench. The interactive design encourages visitors to sit, take photos and reflect on the pressing need to protect endangered species.

A Monumental Debut on Lincoln Road Lincoln Road, known for its rich cultural history, dynamic public art exhibits and renowned performing arts venues, serves as a year-round destination for art enthusiasts. The pedestrian promenade provides the perfect setting for Gillie and Marc’s interactive sculptures, reflecting a shared commitment to enhancing the community experience through art.
