The Stories We Carry

This month, Nigerian-born, Arkansas-based interdisciplinary artist Oluwatobi Adewumi, winner of Lincoln Road’s 2026 Request for Proposals (RFP) for public art installations, will debut “The Stories We Carry.” Featuring a pathway of sculptural suitcases and suspended tags made with powder-coated steel and aluminum panels, the installation explores themes of migration, memory and identity, drawing from Adewumi’s own personal experience and conversations about movement across cities and generations.
