adidas Celebrates Messi and Miami in a Soccer Pop-Up
adidas is taking over a historic retail space in the iconic and high-traffic Lincoln Road shopping district for a limited-time Pop-Up shop. The space is highly experiential and designed with a dreamlike aesthetic, blending pink hues from Inter Miami CF’s jerseys and Miami’s larger culture with the apparel and styling made iconic by adidas and the larger ‘terrace culture’ adopted by soccer’s biggest fans.
The space is ready to open its “phase I” in the front half of the store, which offers a variety of adidas products, including lifestyle and performance apparel, Messi jerseys and tees from Inter Miami CF and Argentina, as well as footwear. The front space also includes several photo moments and a product customization station, where you can put Messi’s name and number — or your own name and number — on jerseys and several other products.
The rest of the space will be unveiled in “phase II” early August 2023, and will feature more product as well as various experiential touch points. Phase II additions will include collaborations from local artists, fan groups, photo opportunities, and exhibits on Messi, showcasing his 5 World Cup appearances and 7 Ballon d’Or trophies. Additional meet-and-greets, watch parties, interactive moments, and other activations will take over our flexible back-of-house space and be announced in the coming weeks and months.
