photo: Delicious pizza from Spris Lincoln Road

When was the last time that you enjoyed a delicious gourmet pizza for under seven bucks? Unless you’ve eaten at Spris on Lincoln Road, the answer is probably never. With Spris’ Beat the Clock special, the price you pay for your pizza depends on the time you place your order. For example, order at 5:30 p.m. and you pay $5.30. Order at 6:45 p.m. and you pay $6.45 and so on.

Last orders must be placed by 7 p.m. You pizza choices are Pizza Margherita (tomato sauce, mozzarella and basil), Pizza Genovese (tomato sauce, mozzarella, *black olives, Genoa pesto and garlic, and Pizza Diavola (tomato sauce, mozzarella and imported Italian spicy salami). Famous for their gourmet pizzas and paninis, Spris (pronounced “sprees”) is a Lincoln Road favorite with locals and tourists alike.

Star Pizza from Visa-01 Lincoln Road Who would have thought that just off Lincoln Road, 1680 Michigan Avenue to be exact, a very nondescript office building would house South Beach’s hottest pizza destination?
Mister-01 is truly a hidden gem – look for a person out front with menus to guide you past the lobby to the restaurant’s entrance. The dining area is tiny (6 – 8 tables) so expect a slight wait. But ooh…the wait is so worth it.
The pizzas were thin, chewy, crispy and delicious. The service was fast and friendly. We came, we ordered, and we enjoyed. You will too!
